The next couple of months my serve to be some of the most important decision making times of my career (maybe), in the sense that what road to follow. Weather to go for a Work Placement/Internship (weather or not I'm good enough or a place will take me depending on the current Recession etc), a study year elsewhere in the world could be on the cards, or to try and go for a summer Internship and then proceed straight into the final year of my Visual Communication Degree.
These few opportunities are in question not just for me but for thousands of students throughout Britain that I'm aware of so the extension of competition is pretty massive. This way of thinking can encourage negative thinking, which I feel can then reflect badly on the subjects work and vice-versa.
I personally am anxious about my future in lucrative career of the Arts, but it is a Privilege in my opinion to be lucky enough to be accepted into. I have witnessed many friends achieving there goals by getting their Degrees etc and coming off second best to what i like to call the system e.g. the corporates, business etc that govern all future of these thousands of students.
It is unclear to me what the future may hold in store, but I think it will pay dividends to be aware of this subject matter of what is the write choice, so that is the question what is the right choice for me! I will be revising this and will post any new views and development.
